GMAT or The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is a management entrance examination for admission into MBA or Master in Finance programs in the top institutes across the world. The examination is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in many countries all over the world. GMAC claims that 9 out of the 10 new enrollments in the top B-schools around the world are sourced from the GMAT scores.

First of all, you need to understand what is GMAT exam. The GMAT examination is conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across the year with flexible dates, reducing the examination formality. The test comprises three sections- Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, as well as Data Insights so that you can assess the candidate’s quantitative, verbal as well as data interpretation skills.
To be eligible for the GMAT examination, interested candidates need to offer a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% across any stream from a recognized university. GMAT Examination Dates 2024

Thus, the candidates can select any date as per their convenience as well as availability. They offer the students with the flexibility to take the examination either once or a lot of times. GMAT Test Centers

There are around 110 examination centers for those selected to appear at one. Based on the nearest location, the students can select their GMAT Focus Edition Center and appear for the examination. All the major Indian cities have examination center to conduct the examination. In case the exam center is unavailable, the applicants can try for another GMAT entrance exam date or another examination center. Once the state or city is selected you can check out the availability of a date in the nearest GMAT examination center.

GMAT Registration

As per the GMAC, the applicants can register 6 months before the test date or around 24 hours before the GMAT examination date, however, it is advised that the students can plan their examination and book the slots well in time. To register for GMAT Focus, the applicants can go with registration online on the official website. You can register in less than 15 minutes. Also, understand how much fees of the GMAT exam you need to pay.

GMAT Preparation

GMAT Results

GMAT results will be reflected within 3-5 days on the applicant’s account post the examination date. After that, the applicants need to send five free GMAT Focus Edition score reports within 2 days of score release. There is no need for applicants to cancel the scores of the GMAT as they can select the B-schools they want to send their scores to after they are released by GMAC. Also, look for how many times the GMAT exam is conducted in a year.

GMAT Score

The applicants are scored on a scale of around 205-805 on the GMAT Focus Edition. The score is based on each of the three sections on GMAT equally that is and each of the sections is scored between 60-90.  The reason for an updated score range on the GMAT is for the schools as well as applicants to differentiate between the GMAT Focus Edition as well as scores. The applicants can score between 205 and 605 if appearing for the latest GMAT examination. The candidates can receive the entire GMAT score report as soon as GMAC releases it.
